Cilento is one of the most beautiful spots in the region of Campania and definitely worth a visit, both for inland landscape that for the charming coast and blue waters, so deep and pristine.
|Salerno||Boarding on Saturday afternoon from Marina d'Arechi|
|Castellabate23 Nm||It’s one of the most beautiful places in Italy. The Cilento coast, just a little further south, is paradise. Stand on the beach and look to your right: that's the Gulf of Salerno and the Amalfi coast. The island on the horizon that looks like a chunk of lapis is Capri. Things cost far less than they do on the Amalfi coast and there's much to explore. Just off the coast are the ruins of a Roman city which attracts scuba divers from around Europe.|
|Acciaroli11 Nm||Look toward your left and see the rest of the Cilento coast including Acciaroli, a small fishing village. The town is a part of "Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park" and it’s a major tourist destination, especially during summer, because it has grown famous nationally for of its water quality.|
|Palinuro15 Nm||Among the olive trees of the green hills and the crystal clear blue sea, the most beautiful beaches of Cilento are those in Palinuro, wide and sandy. The most recognized are the Saline Beach, Dune Beach and the Beach of Arco Naturale, the most famous is the Buondormire Beach, accessible only by sea. You can’t miss a visit at the caves of Capo Palinuro, that have nothing to envy to the Blue Grotto of Capri. By night becomes a pedestrian area with disco, bars, ice cream shops and tractions, it is a very welcome destination for young people with its night clubs, certainly not lacking typical restaurants where you can taste sea food dishes and typical cuisine.
|Marina di Camerota8 Nm||Very appreciated by tourists for its rich, breathtaking landscapes and crystal clear waters. Cala Bianca, considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Italy, is made up of round white pebbles, from which it takes its name. Located in a hidden bay, it can be reached either on foot or by sea. Every day there are many tourists who decide to go to this oasis of peace and relaxation, also because the water is clear and of an intense celestial color. Cala degli Infreschi is one of the most famous bays of the whole Cilento. It is part of a protected nature reserve because it is rich of poseidonia, cliffs with coralligenous and bays. One of the most famous beaches of Marina di Camerota is Calanca Beach, with its light and soft sand and a long and wide coastline.|
|Maratea16 Nm||The landscape in Maratea varies from breath-taking sea views to wooded hillsides and majestic mountains which sweep down to the blue sea. There are over 20 white sandy beaches and numerous sea caves, most of which can only be reached by boat. La Grotta delle Meraviglie is the only sea cave accessible on foot and there are some amazing stalactite and stalagmite formations to be seen in this deep underground cavern. The town contains an impressive 44 churches and a white Statue of Christ, ‘Il Redentore’ dominates the skyline above the village and coast. The climb up to the statue is a challenging one, but the panoramic view from the top is well worth the hike.|
